World Piano Day – 2020
88 keys on a full keyboard piano, 88 days on this year’s calendar: time for World Piano Day! Despite several organization claiming ownership of their special annual World Piano Day... It's a world wide initiative lasting a few days with dozens-if-not-hundreds of different events around the globe organized by as many different organizations. Let us give a a few different sites of where to keep track of new events for the year.

5th street piano event in Nashua (NH) featuring 3 pianos. It got announced with an intriging message: Nashua Street Pianos will return to Downtown Nashua on May the Fourth 2020! ... in tribute to my angel: Amber Lee Carroll (March 5 1998 - October 14 2016).

Vancouver (CA-BC) – Pianos on the Street 2020 – expect 30+ pianos all-summer-long – dates TBC
Yesss - another display expected from our Canadian friends at: Pianos on the Street- Vancouver (CA-BC) founded back in 2009 by the Piano Teachers Federation. Based on many consecutive years of putting public pianos on the streets in the Vancouver region we’re happy to add yet another multi-piano event to the Events list. Although there aren’t too many details published yet we expect 30+ piano’s in their active city region! Of course we’ll keep an eye on their release calendar…

This annual program began in 2009 inspired by Play Me I'm Yours in the UK. Since then it's a yearly celebration for the Denver community comming out of winter hibernation. The 10 pianos on display are repainted each year by local artists of all ages including students from Denver public schools.

Spiel Mich Karlsruhe sadly annouced skipping 2020, bringing their pianos back to the streets in summer of 2021. We hope 2021 will be our chance to go over and play all of their pianos! No exact numbers of pianos known at this time so we'll keep an eye on their website.
