“When I give my heart
It will be completely
Or I’ll never give my heart
And the moment I can feel that
You feel that way too
Is when I fall in love with you“
Don’t you just love it… Waking up in a snow-covered landscape, Sunday morning silence and your first coffee in front of you, tickling your senses. For a brief moment, pandemic and lockdown curfew do not define your thoughts and vaccine isn’t a stairway to heaven. A songs enters your head, no idea where it came from, but it’s there and you’re humming it, unconsciously…
As part of the morning ritual, I was scanning my emails, sifting through the usual mountain of SPAM, only to find a conspecific reaching out from far away. Someone is paying tribute to a beloved piano… An instant smile to my face as I read along:
“I hope you know about our piano”
Thank you for the information on wonderful pianos around the world. I am looking forward to this site.
I emailed you to know about our piano. We live in Gyokuto, a small town in Kumamoto, Japan. At the station (KONOHA STATION) in this town, we took over the piano of a coffee shop that was closed due to the influence of the coronavirus, and installed it as a station piano on December 4, 2020. It’s a small station with about 300 passengers a day, but people come from afar to play the piano. This piano is a meeting place for people who like piano.
The name of this station, “KONOHA” means “leaves”, so I painted the leaves with gold paint. The other day, it was introduced at NHKworld JAPAN.
When the coronavirus has converged, I want many people to come and play this piano.
Thank you for reading the message.
